New Season. New Emotions.
Introducing Our 25/25 Season
We’re excited to announce our 2024/25 Season, and we hope you’ll join us for all four programmes that bring a new season with new emotions. Each event offers a chance to discover more about the music, to share in an intimate and passionate performance, and to enjoy a convivial evening in the company of fellow chamber-music lovers—all within the charm of a Parisian flat.
Programme I — An Evening of Song
We begin with An Evening of Song, featuring contralto Kayla Collingwood and pianist Mirei Tsuji. Together they weave a luminous journey through English song, French mélodie, and German Lieder. An evening of poetry, voice, and piano drawing the listener into a world of colour, character, and imagination.
Programme II — Beethoven String Quartet Project 6
Our second programme continues our Beethoven String Quartet Project Series. This concert features his ground-breaking first “middle-period” quartet—the colossal String Quartet in F major, Op. 59 No. 1. Bold, spacious, and filled with both heroic energy and unexpected tenderness, it’s a work in which Beethoven dares to redefine what the string quartet could be.
Programme III — A Chopin Piano Recital
The third programme brings us to the piano works of Chopin, and to the heart of 19th-century Romantic expression. His music glows with emotional nuance—shifts of light and shadow, fleeting melancholy, moments of pure radiance. This recital invites audiences to experience Chopin in high definition: the poetry of the piano up close, where every phrase feels personal. A programme that is elegant, expressive, and deeply human.
Programme IV — Beethoven String Quartet Project 7
We close the season with Beethoven once more, returning to the monumental Razumovsky quartets with the impassioned String Quartet in E minor, Op. 59 No. 2. It opens with two stark chords, then plunges into one of Beethoven’s most dramatic and emotionally charged works. Dark, searching, and ultimately exhilarating, it brings our season to a thrilling conclusion.
Join us for this season’s journey through song, piano, and Beethoven. It promises to be a season of exceptional chamber music—music that explores the full range of human emotion, experienced up close and personal. We look forward to seeing you there!
