An Intimate Close to the Season
Our season concludes with a programme centred on one of the most revealing forms in chamber music: the string trio. With just three instruments, nothing is hidden — every line is exposed, every gesture becomes part of a living conversation, music shared in its most immediate form.
The evening opens with the String Trio in B-flat major, D. 581 by Franz Schubert — a work of clarity and grace, where each voice unfolds naturally within a transparent texture. In the second half, the Serenade in C major, Op. 10 by Ernö Dohnányi expands this world into something richer and more expansive, blending classical form with a deeply romantic language — by turns playful, introspective, and brilliantly virtuosic. Across the evening, we move from intimacy to fullness, from simplicity to richness — a journey through the expressive possibilities of three instruments alone.
