MARIE SALVAT violin
Violinist Marie Salvat is impassioned by music in all its forms. Originally from Perpignan, France, she began violin at the age of five at conservatory and singing at l’Ecole des Enfants du Spectacle. She went on to study at the prestigious CNSM de Paris and the renowned Royal College of Music in London. She has also studied baroque singing with Julie Hassler and jazz voice with Virginie Capizzi.
Her eclectic training has allowed Marie to maintain an active performance career in a variety of domains across Paris and France. Her performing career and its multiple influences allow her to navigate different aesthetics that she loves mixing together. Her taste for mixing the living arts is evident in her recent projects, which include the creation of Ces Gens-là as well as recording an album linking music with comics. She is also a violinist with the Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne.
