AKI TSAI violin
Violinist Aki Tsai currently enjoys a vibrant career performing throughout her native southern California and across the globe. Aki studied with Alice Schoenfeld at the University of Southern California, where she earned her Bachelor of Music Degree, and with Keng-Yuen Tseng at the Peabody Conservatory, where she earned her Masters of Music and Graduate Performance degrees. She has performed extensively with the San Diego Symphony and Baltimore Symphony Orchestras, working with conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Edo de Waart, Marin Alsop, Pinchas Zukerman, and others. Active as a freelance violinist in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas, Aki also frequently performs with the California Chamber Orchestra, the LA Virtuosi, Redlands Symphony, and Riverside Philharmonic. She has also performed with pop singers and bands like The WHO, Burt Bacharach, Reba, and Wynonna Judd, as well as performing on live cine-concerts like the outdoor, IMAX world premier of Star Trek. She has participated in the Lucerne Festival Academy, Britten Pears Young Artist Festival, Music Masters Course Japan, Saint Lawrence String Quartet Seminar, and the VIVO Chamber Music Festival.
